First of all if you don't Jo Mr. Heaston personally your opinion does not count. At. The end of the day he was a great boss and a great principal. He always got those jobs done. Thereforr what ever he does in his personal life is on him. His actions does not make him less of an employee. Being homosexual is not a crime it is a sin. Therefore let God judge him. I would still love for him to be my principal. I am not saying I agree with his actions, but I am saying what ever he does in his personal life has not affected my education.
Thaddeus Matthews cares for no one or their education. I was a teacher at Frayser High School when the bussing started. Thaddeus was the "leader of the walk-outs". Black students would be in class and he would go down the halls telling them what time they were to walk out. He was a troublemaker then and is still a trublemaker. It is all about him and the attention he receives. I have no control over what Russell Heaston does but I can say he is a good principal who is concerned about his students and the academic performance of his students. This is more than I,or anyone, can say about Thaddeus Matthews.
Enough is enough the final thought of this matter is that it is written...sometimes God allows this exposure to take place for a reason..Everything that he stood for is gone..the loyalty to his wife & family, the community &children that believed in him it's all gone..He's going to have to deal with that when his time comes. The wrong was him cheating on his wife. But that has nothing to do with his leadership role in MCS. We all have personal lives and no I don't agree with what he has done, but his personal life is not our business. He is allowed to have a personal life, isn't he? We have all done something that we're not proud of. He has a wife and kids and if we had any christianity in our hearts we could comment our thoughts with prayer for his family and not make it any harder than it already is. But as far as a principal he was outstanding, and he raped no one. And I have boys and I wouldnt want them gay but as adults they have the right to say yes or no. So I'm praying for Mr. H and hope he learned a lesson from this public humility and does better. Hopefully this is his wake up call. The devil meant this for bad but god lets things happen and get out so we can better oursrlves, correct our mistakes, fall, and get up as better humans. But his job shouldnt be compromised, he doesn't take the kids home with him, and his tactics for his schools work. I know cause my kids attened American Way and I listened to the morning and afternoon announcements and they were motivating. We all put on a show for work because we have want our money, but when our job is done, we all go home to some guilty pleasure. Its not always good or godly but its true. We are all sinfull by nature. Praying for the world and all these "I have never fell short" judgemental, hypocrits in it.
Do you all think that perhaps the boy or someone in the boy's camp sent this video to Thaddeus to put the principal on blast because the investigation did not come to the conclusion he wanted to?
Overall I think that it is important for us as people to confess our sins to one another (perhaps with someone we trust) so our sins may be healed because when we conceal we sins, we don't prosper. (James 5:16 and Proverbs 28:13). We as black people deal with many issues and don't really talk about them to people or keep many things on the "hush, hush", then the issues comes out in other ways often times, very sinful and regretful ways. Also I think that people go to church out of habit, but don't have any real convictions.
I think that although this may not be a legal issue, this is very much a moral issue. When we decide to become teachers, principals, preachers, deacons, elders, etc. we are to be people of overall good character and should be very mindful of the things we do or say. Yes, we should pray for Mr.Heaston, however, there are wages for our sins.

My perception was that it was unethical and unprofessional to date someone you taught. Parents the only thing you have to worry about is that when your child get an education that he/she make good choices. I can not understand why sooo many people are defending him!!! ReplyDeleteThaddeus Matthews cares for no one or their education. I was a teacher at Frayser High School when the bussing started. Thaddeus was the "leader of the walk-outs". Black students would be in class and he would go down the halls telling them what time they were to walk out. He was a troublemaker then and is still a trublemaker. It is all about him and the attention he receives. I have no control over what Russell Heaston does but I can say he is a good principal who is concerned about his students and the academic performance of his students. ReplyDeleteThe wrong was him cheating on his wife. But that has nothing to do with his leadership role in MCS. We all have personal lives and no I don't agree with what he has done, but his personal life is not our business. He is allowed to have a personal life, isn't he? We have all done something that we're not proud of. He has a wife and kids and if we had any christianity in our hearts we could comment our thoughts with prayer for his family and not make it any harder than it already is. But as far as a principal he was outstanding, and he raped no one. And I have boys and I wouldnt want them gay but as adults they have the right to say yes or no. So I'm praying for Mr. H and hope he learned a lesson from this public humility and does better. Hopefully this is his wake up call. The devil meant this for bad but god lets things happen and get out so we can better oursrlves, correct our mistakes, fall, and get up as better humans. But his job shouldnt be compromised, he doesn't take the kids home with him, and his tactics for his schools work. I know cause my kids attened American Way and I listened to the morning and afternoon announcements and they were motivating. We all put on a show for work because we have want our money, but when our job is done, we all go home to some guilty pleasure. Its not always good or godly but its true. We are all sinfull by nature. Praying for the world and all these "I have never fell short" judgemental, hypocrits in it.

ReplyDeleteOverall I think that it is important for us as people to confess our sins to one another (perhaps with someone we trust) so our sins may be healed because when we conceal we sins, we don't prosper. (James 5:16 and Proverbs 28:13). We as black people deal with many issues and don't really talk about them to people or keep many things on the "hush, hush", then the issues comes out in other ways often times, very sinful and regretful ways. Also I think that people go to church out of habit, but don't have any real convictions.
I think that although this may not be a legal issue, this is very much a moral issue. When we decide to become teachers, principals, preachers, deacons, elders, etc. we are to be people of overall good character and should be very mindful of the things we do or say. Yes, we should pray for Mr.Heaston, however, there are wages for our sins.

This was not the first time the two had met at the young man's house. Did I hear someone coughing, were they smoking pot? That would explain where he gets his money. He sells dope. Yet, we are told again in the Word of God that darker days are ahead. Things will get even worse! Jesus is the only answer for what ails a person. We all must come by way of the "Cross". Humankind's very nature is sin no matter what it is. Jesus died for "Sinners". Sin can be cured by Jesus. Yes, we hurt by what we saw and heard via the video but Jesus is the answer for both the men. Same sex is only one of many sins. We must be born-again! Jesus has the power to deliver humankind regardless of what the sin is. "Wide is the road that leads to destruction and you seldom see a traveler on the narrow road", according to the Bible. Very few people have come into a personal walk with Jesus but many are "religious". If we are students of the "Word", we would not be shocked at what we hear. As "Believers", we pray. God will uncover us many times to "save" us. On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus Name. Because sin is deadly, Jesus died to give us life. Surely both men need that life. We too need that life. Life comes by way of Jesus. Have you given your life to Christ?
